What should I know about departure travel?
Dunskey has a number of options available for you and your schedule. Book your Monday travel as needed and if it requires you to be in Glasgow before 3pm, answer “YES” to Question 16 on the form.
Question 17 will allow you to fill in the details of your travel. Dunskey will ensure that the right transport is arranged for you and provide instructions/arrangements for your Monday morning travel.
Any travel tips?
Dunskey recommends traveling after the wedding if you’d like to do extra travel in Europe. However, we understand that many guests have other considerations and are choosing to travel before.
As long as you are in Glasgow by the time the bus leaves on Friday, you do not need to worry. Given the nature of travel (delays, schedule changes, pandemics, Putin, etc.) we strongly recommend arriving in Glasgow Thursday afternoon/evening and staying at the voco Grand Central as described above.
What about food? I have a food allergy!
Food allergies in a large group that includes many Jews? NO WAY.
There is a section on the guest form for you to share any food allergies. The chefs at Dunskey go to extreme lengths to ensure everyone is accommodated and enjoys their stay. So please feel free to share and rest assured you’ll be catered to - literally.
What should I pack?
Great question. Here are suggestions for each day:
Friday AM: Travel wear
We suspect a large lululemon contingency for Friday’s travel to Dunskey. Whatever you’re comfortable traveling in is a-okay with us!
Friday PM at Dunskey: : Your best “Pregame Fit”
Imagine you’re a (W)NBA player arriving to the arena for a game. What would you be wearing? We’re thinking something like this, this or these. Not this, this or this.
In short: Feel free to be stylish and comfortable to showcase your personality, not formal and stuffy.
Saturday AM: Activity appropriate clothing
Information on activities (e.g., golf) is included in guest forms. Additional information to follow as well.
Saturday PM: Formal // Black Tie Optional
Sunday AM: Activity appropriate clothing
Information on activities (e.g., scavenger hunt, maze running, more golf, scotch tasting) is included in guest forms. Additional information to follow as well.
Sunday PM: Casual cool outfit for beach side BBQ
Again - you’re welcome to wear something stylish and fun. This is not a formal bbq.
Monday: Travel wear
What should I not pack?
Stillettos, at least for Dunskey. They are not allowed to be worn on the grounds.
How should I give you my wedding gift since I don’t want to bring it to Scotland?
Funny enough, we are hoping to not travel with any additional boxes/bags.
Gifts purchased through our registry will ship to us at home. If you need our address for any other gift, we are happy to share it.
